The Apple Of My Eye

LARGER IMAGE
The Apple Of My Eye - $9.00

Since this surface is a tin apple pan, I thought apples are the perfect design to paint on it! These apple pans were very popular in the 19 century. The shape allow for a nice "piling" of apples without their rolling off. Fill it with apples to "decorate" your table, etc.

Autumn Leaves

LARGER IMAGE
  Autumn Leaves - $9.50

Inspired by the Keely Smith recording of "Autumn Leaves", and by the unique edges of this surface, the colors of autumn burst forth on this leaf surface. A unique distressed background and "glimmer", using DecoArt's Media Mister, are the perfect back-drop for these pumpkins and lantern. Dry-brushing the pumpkins makes this a quick design to finish. Use it on your wall, as a trivet, for crackers or cookies, etc.

Christmas Pomegranate

LARGER IMAGE
  Christmas Pomegranate - $9.00

The pomegranate is often seen in paintings and statues of the Virgin Mary and the baby Jesus. It's a symbol of resurrection and everlasting life. The blue berries add softness and the green of the pine needles adds contrast to this simple design. The stencil design adds texture and a bit of "bling". The shelf is the perfect spot for a simple Nativity scene or other Christmas decorations.

Fruits Of The Spirit Basket

LARGER IMAGE
Fruits Of The Spirit Basket - $9.50

This is my interpretation of a motif originally done on watercolor paper in Boston, circa 1810. The original line-drawing just shows this shape container holding the fruit. I decided to interpret it as a basket. If some of the fruit sizes seem a bit odd, itís because I chose to copy this exactly as it had been done in the 19 century. This pattern also contains a color step-by-step sheet of each element.

Fruits Of The Spirit--Strawberries

LARGER IMAGE
  Fruits Of The Spirit--Strawberries - $8.50

I love the painting of Peter Ompir and this design is reminiscent of his unique style. Instead of using his elaborate antiquing method, I "antiqued" this piece with a dry-brush. And since I decorate with strawberries in my kitchen, this piece has found a home there!

Gifts Of Autumn

LARGER IMAGE
  Gifts Of Autumn - $9.00

Harvest bounty glow by candle light on this autumn candleholder. Wheat, corn, and pumpkins were gathered and stored by native American Indians and our forebears for the cold harshness of winter. Their golden colors bring warmth to the season.
