This is my interpretation of a box probably painted by Sally or Maria Francis, nieces of Sarah Brisco, who was the niece of Paul Revere. Tulips, especially, seemed to be a favorite motif. Several colors loaded in the brush at the same time allow the streaking seen in some of the flowers. Red, yellow, and blue/white flowers with green leaves and yellow strokes on a black background.
